Marconin’s returning to PAX South, Jules shares a personal podcasting accomplishment, and much more! Tonight’s discussion question: There’s been a lot of controversy and debate about the benefits of adding voice chat to Heroes of the Storm. Though it’s very beneficial to team coordination and increasing competitive advantages, voice chat also opens up opportunities for gender discrimination, harassment, racism, and more. Should HotS bring in voice chat now after not having it for so long? It’s our 250th Episode! We’re back from BlizzCon, and we both have voices to do a show! We talk about our adventures during the week, including the happenings at The CTR Party. Tonight’s Think Tank question: I would love to hear your thoughts on how one might go around building up a bank of 'positive things' about oneself as an adult. Any general suggestions for improving self-confidence? I am easily convinced problems or issues that happen are all my fault. I’m often struggling to keep things together. Please help! It’s our annual pre-BlizzCon show! What to expect if it’s your first BlizzCon, where you can find us throughout the week, and more! Tonight’s Think Tank question: I’ve been inspired to change my career completely and move across the country, but I’m afraid it might not be the right move. I have a decent-paying job, but I don’t enjoy the work I’m doing. I’m not happy in the state I live in now. But what if I move and pursue my dreams and it doesn’t work out? What should I do? Two weeks until BlizzCon and we’re getting ready in our own ways! Tonight’s Think Tank question - I lived in Las Vegas for 7 years and have many friends there. The mass shooting two weeks ago in Vegas has me feeling helpless and guilty that I’m not there to help, not to mention all the hurricanes and fires that have happened around the country. What can I do with the helplessness that I feel for not being there to help people that I care about? Our guest this week is Wendi Dunford from The Morning Stream’s Therapy Thursday segment and The Therapy Show! Our discussion topic: venting online - studies have shown that venting online on social media and anonymous sites seem to make us think we feel better, but it’s actually making us angrier! What is it about social media that gives us that dopamine hit that we keep coming back for? How can we be less angry if online interaction is such a part of our lives? This week’s show features 3 special guests, talking about changing as we age! This very fun and fast-paced episodes features 2 psychologists, one psychic medium, two best friends, and a mother-daughter team!

Dr. Holiday Bean, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in trauma, children and family counseling, and parent coaching, with expertise in ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar disorder, and postpartum difficulties. After becoming a new mom in 2016, Dr. Bean is currently creating a postpartum support group to help other new mothers in her area.

We were also joined by the hosts of Both Sides Now podcast, the unconventional duo, Dr. Shirley and Kellee White!

Dr. Shirley, Ph.D. is arguably the highest profile Latina psychologist in America. She is a frequent guest expert on TV (The Doctors, Dr. Drew’s On Call, Dr. Drew Celebrity Rehab, VH1’s Hollywood Execs, Bravo’s Work Out) and the author of the bestselling WHY CAN’T I CHANGE? How to Conquer Your Self-Destructive Patterns and co-author of Scared Speechless: 9 Ways to Overcome Your Fears and Captivate Your Audience.

Kellee White is a licensed Psychotherapist and Clairvoyant Medium, practicing with celebrities, corporate executives, entrepreneurs, politicians as well as individuals, couples and families in her Beverly Hills, CA office. Her specialties involve her work with trauma, loss, grief counseling, changes and transitions, and fear of death.

In 2000, Kellee suffered a traumatic brain injury that changed her life forever. Completely confused and not comprehending what was happening, Kellee found herself seeing and talking to “dead people.” To further enhance her ability to help others she returned to graduate school and received her Master’s in Psychology with an emphasis on marriage family therapy.

Kellee is also Holiday’s mom, and one of her biggest joys is becoming a grandmother last year!

When did it get to be September? Marconin is prepping for a day at Arkansas Comicon and Jules gives an update about her fitness and nutrition journey so far. Our Think Tank question: In the past year, my father passed away unexpectedly and I married the love of my life. My family, and my mom in particular, have had a difficult time coping with the loss of my dad. However, I’m also deeply in love and happy with my husband, but I feel my expressing love for him on social media or in my mom’s presence is hurting her badly. I want to be there for her and support her, but I also want to feel free about sharing my affection for the man I love. How can I balance this? Eclipses, airplanes, conventions, and mounts, oh, my! Our Discussion question: Patience in a world of instant gratification. Our patience, and the ability to be patient, is dwindling in a world of same-day delivery, digital connectivity and being able to get things right here and right now. How can we practice patience in today’s environment of expecting things to be done fast?
